Legal compliance across the board

All three areas share one baseline: ensuring compliance with the legal, regulatory and other requirements applicable to Quality, the Environment and Occupational Health and Safety.

Management commitment

EPALFER also maintains complementary specific policies, namely on human rights and working conditions. Management commits to implementing, maintaining and continually improving the Management System, grounded in responsibility, technical competence and the achievement of the objectives set.

Supplier Requirements

Our supply chain is part of our management system. These general requirements apply to every EPALFER supplier and set out what we expect in terms of sustainability, ethics, human rights, environment, health and safety, legal compliance and social responsibility.

Product & Order Conformity

Meet the defined technical and quality requirements, guarantee product traceability where applicable, report any non-conformity or deviation, meet agreed deadlines and provide evidence of conformity on request.

Legal & Regulatory Compliance

Comply with applicable law and regulation, contractual requirements and the specific technical requirements of customers along the chain, including legislation on environment, occupational health and safety, human rights, data protection, trade restrictions, exports and sanctions.

Human Rights & Working Conditions

Prohibit child and forced labour in all its forms, respect internationally recognised human rights, guarantee equal opportunity, diversity and inclusion, ensure ethical recruitment, prevent harassment and abuse, and respect freedom of association and collective bargaining.

Health & Safety at Work

Ensure safe working conditions, identify, assess and control workplace risks, provide adequate protective equipment, train employees, prevent accidents and occupational disease, and prepare for and respond to emergencies.

Ethics & Business Conduct

Prevent corruption, bribery, money laundering, conflicts of interest and fraud; ensure fair competition, data protection and respect for intellectual property; keep complete and accurate records; and provide channels for reporting irregularities, protected against retaliation.

Environment

Prevent pollution, reduce waste, reuse and recycle materials, use natural resources sustainably, cut greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy efficiency and decarbonise, and manage water, air, soil, chemicals and biodiversity responsibly.

Conflict Minerals & Raw Materials

Act responsibly regarding the origin of raw materials, avoid minerals from conflict-affected or high-risk areas, apply supply chain due diligence where applicable, and cooperate with automotive requirements on critical raw materials.

Cascading the Requirements

Pass these principles on to their own suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring the applicable requirements are transmitted along the supply chain and that compliance is monitored where applicable.

Monitoring & Evaluation

EPALFER may request documentary evidence, carry out supplier assessments, send sustainability questionnaires, review non-compliances and request action plans to correct them.

Non-compliance

Failure to meet these requirements may affect the evaluation of the supplier and the continuation of the commercial relationship.
